Spring/mass system

The model helps to understand the principle of movement of a massive body on a spring with friction, similar to how car struts work with a shock absorber.

Spring/mass system consists of a spring with an coefficient of elasticity (stiffness) k (Hooke's law), one end of which is rigidly fixed, and the second has a load of mass m. If the system has energy losses due to the friction of the body against a viscous medium, or a shock absorber is also attached to the body, then vibration damping will occur.

Vary the spring coefficient of elasticity and the coefficient of friction to study the dynamics of the system.
